Tween chefs in the kitchen

…Let them grow up to be gourmets instead. has given aspiring tween chefs in the Philadelphia-area a means of satisfying multiple forbidden and uncontrollable urges without fear of parental interference.

This tween chef cooking class will immerse the little darlings in a working  restaurant kitchen (a realm where not only aren’t the aforementioned urges, such as handling knives and using the stove taboo, but they are encouraged and necessary, not to mention well-supervised) where they’ll meet the head chef and begin their instruction with a tour of the galley before moving on to some uncomplicated recipe and demonstration of simple food handling techniques.  Best of all, they’ll work along with adult co-chefs, and at the end of class, they get to eat their creations, eliminating all need for that age-old excuse involving homework-devouring family canines (you know the one.)

As a native New Yorker, I have to be mildly annoyed on some level that this awesome idea doesn’t include a Big Apple package.  Perhaps in time, eh,
