Four months ago on April 16, 2010, the universe smiled on our nation’s capital with the debut of the D.C. Slices mobile pizza truck.  Another gastronomic benefaction of nigh cosmic implication will soon touch D.C.’s streets as another mobile kitchen takes its maiden voyage.  The Red Hook Lobster Pound has given us the Lobster Truck.

On Monday, August 16th, their truck will roll out onto the streets of Washington, D.C. to spread “Lobstah Love” and bring joy (not to mention Lobster Rolls, Shrimp Rolls, Maine Root sodas, and Whoopie pies) to the hungering masses.

Oh, gentlemen, while I enjoy a good Whoopie Pie as much as the next person, do sleep soundly tonight knowing that you had me at “Lobster truck.”
