My love of all things that look, taste, sound, and smell at all like New Orleans is well-known to anyone close to me. Therefore, I don’t think I really need to go into great detail about how excited I am to know that a little piece of the French Quarter has recently fallen much closer to home than I would need airline tickets to reach. Opened as of this weekend, TruOrleans is operating now in Washington, D.C.
Promising “A View of the Bayou From Every Dish,” and opening at 7 a.m. later this season to breakfast that will feature Crawfish Étouffée and Jambalaya-stuffed biscuits among its menu offerings, this newly-opened restaurant/gallery seems like a must-try for anyone looking to Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler.
