Have Your Drink and Eat it Too: Crunkcakes

Inebriated edibles are spreading like wildfire along Washington, D.C.’s H Street, and aficionados of sweets and booze have bakers Faith Alice Sleeper and Raychel Sabath, the lovely ladies of Crunkcakes, to thank for them.

Bearing names like the Irish Car Bomb (a Guinness-soaked chocolate cupcake generously flavored with Jameson’s and then frosted with Bailey’s-laced buttercream) and the Fat Elvis (a rum-doused banana cake with Frangelico mixed into its peanut butter icing) these liquor-loaded confections have developed quite the following among D.C. bars and bargoers.

Crunkcake D.C.‘s fully-functional website is coming soon to http://www.districtofcrunk.com/. For now, follow their trail of grown up cupcakes made from scratch on Twitter.

Those cupcakes sounds so delicious and really inspiring. I made a Kahlua Tiramisu the other day. I love a boozy dessert! 🙂

I know what you mean. The boozier the better, I say 🙂 I’m hoping to get a taste of some of these soon. Kahlua Tiramisu sounds phenomenal, too. Wish I had a piece right now.
