Flavorful World’s Friday Fourplay offers up a bite-sized tidbit of info on each of the four food- and drink-related things we found most interesting each week.
Beer Cream Puffs
Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, desserterie (yeah, we’ll pretend that’s a word, just for today) Puddin’, located at NYC’s St. Marks Place, has released this chimera of bread, beer, and of course, puddin’ to sweeten up our lives. It’s a cream puff with cherry compote, and orange glaze, and a pudding filling that’s made with Irish Stout from the Brooklyn Brewery. It skips town this Sunday, so be sure to get it before it goes. My eyes are smiling.
Tables With Growing, Breathing Elements
These creative planter-bearing tables bring to mind that age-old question of whether, when a table falls with no one around to hear it, it produces a sound. Either way, some great designs are on display here, and more will certainly follow.

Everything Bagel Fusilli
I don’t know what aspect of this elates me more: the sheer fact that it exists, or that it comes with the recipe for a topping to go on it that makes eating it a true New York bagel experience. At any rate, this is just pure, unadulterated awesome, and any argument to the contrary is irrelevant.
