Thursday, June 12th, 2014 will mark the first annual National Verdejo Day in the United States, a celebration day devoted to the traditional grape of Spain’s D.O. Rueda. The Verdejo has earned a reputation for producing white wines that are elegant, aromatic, and fruity with a crisp level of acidity retained by cool evenings in its growing region. This Thursday, four simultaneous wine tasting parties in New York, Miami, Chicago, and L.A. will ensure an auspicious beginning for National Verdejo Day.
