The 31st Annual Maryland Wine Festival comes to the Carroll County Farm Museum in Westminster, MD this weekend. Nearly three-dozen vineyards and wineries will gather for this two-day celebration of Maryland wines produced in a variety of styles. From dry to off-dry to ciders and meads, the nectar of the vine will flow from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, September 20th and from 12 to 6pm on Sunday, September 21st.
400 Premier Pass tickets will be available for each day of the event. Premier Pass tickets grant attendees access to the Premier Tent, an exclusive “peaceful haven” added to the festival in 2009, that includes samplings of premium wines not served at the main festival (or otherwise sold for a fee), a private portable restroom, and gourmet cuisine from area chefs.
An annual event first held in 1984, the Maryland Wine Festival features live music, seminars on winemaking and tasting, food and drink from acclaimed local restaurants and vendors, and artisan and specialty crafts. Tickets can be purchased on-site the day of the event, or advance discount tickets can be bought online here. As Premier Passes are of limited quantity, they are best purchased in advance.
