Thousands Will Gather This Thanksgiving For 2nd Annual MealSharing.com Event

MealSharing4 This November, MealSharing.com will hold its second annual “ThanksSharing” event to promote food and togetherness for the classic American Thanksgiving holiday. Dubbed the “AirBnB of Home Cooked Meals,” MealSharing.com connects hosts and guests in more than 450 cities worldwide over home-cooked meals. Next month, MealSharing.com will continue its ThanksSharing initiative, launched in 2013, to connect thousands of people over a memorable holiday meal.MealSharing2

“Last year’s ThanksSharing helped people enjoy a meal with others who otherwise would have been eating alone,” says Jay Savsani, founder of MealSharing.com. “As a popular celebration that promotes people coming together over food, ThanksSharing does just that—whether a person is traveling, alone for the holiday or simply wants a different experience—ThanksSharing is helping connect people over home cooked meals for a special occasion.”

MealSharingHosting a ThanksSharing event is simple: one creates a meal on MealSharing.com specifying what they are making, how many people are invited to their table, and an optional “chip-in” price per guest to help offset the cost of ingredients. By selecting ThanksSharing as the type of meal, guests from around the world can then easily search and join a ThanksSharing dinner with one click. A special ThanksSharing webpage for people seeking a meal will be available, as will a “Potluck” feature (wherein every guest brings a prepared dish) to promote community involvement.

As an additional incentive, ThanksSharing hosts will be able to raise money for local food banks through the MealSharing.com platform. To urge participation, MealSharing.com will offer meal credits to any hosts that open up their table to guests for ThanksSharing.

Why be alone this Thanksgiving when new and lasting friendships could be waiting for you right across your own dinner table? To join the MealSharing.com community and host a ThanksSharing meal, please visit https://www.mealsharing.com/thankssharing.com.
