Livability.com has released its inaugural list of Best Beers in the Best Cities, affectionately dubbed: 99 Beers in 99 Cities.
It did this because beer is a reason to smile, and because contributions made by the rise of the craft beer movement to the revitalization of many of our nation’s downtowns are impossible to deny. It did it because breweries continue to prove their worth with regard to helping nightlife scenes thrive on Main Streets throughout the country.
“Economic development, tourism, talent attraction – these are all great side effects of the craft beer movement in the U.S.,” says Livability.com Editor Matt Carmichael. “But at the end of the day, this is a ranking of great beers in great cities, and it sure is nice to have a cold pint of one of these 99 brews.”
As far as its list-making process, there were a few requirements, apart from the actual researched data that went into making selections. A town had to have a minimum of two breweries, and no more than three cities per state were chosen to provide the best nationwide coverage.
The top 99 cities are featured on Livability.com, along with their LivScore and additional information about the qualities that helped them earn a spot on list.
