Flavorful World’s Friday Fourplay offers up a bite-sized tidbit of info on each of the four food- and drink-related things we found most interesting each week.
Kitty Condiments Cometh
Cats are coming up in the world. They’ve got a line of wines manufactured for their sole enjoyment, and now, their own line of condiments as well. Discerning kitties can now dress up their fancier feasts with a dash of Catchup or Meowstard. With the former tasting of salmon and the latter flavored with turkey, one can only imagine that dogs everywhere are green with envy.
You Got Chocolate in My Noodles! You Got Noodles in My Chocolate!
Well-known Japanese instant noodle brand Ippei-chan Yomise no Yakisoba will roll out a new chocolate-flavored variation of its popular products in January 2016. Eyeing the candy’s popularity leading up to Valentine’s Day, it will sell its Choco Sauce With Cinnamon-flavored noodles for just 195 yen (about $1.60 USD) per package, making it affordable enough to gamble on for both curious and cash-strapped eaters. Look for them starting January 18th if you’re an instant noodle lover who’s feelin fancy.
And Hansel and Gretel Thought They Had It Good
If the name Carrie Dennis doesn’t go down in the annals of pizza innovator history, then a gross miscarriage of justice will have transpired. Forgoing the time-honored tradition of constructing gingerbread houses at holiday time, she has created soemthing much tastier: a house made of pizza. With its pepperoni roof shingles, its sliced mushroom hedges, black olive slice “cobblestone” walkway and green bell pepper trim, it is by far the best thing that’s happened to pizza since caviar-stuffed crust.
Let It Snow, Let it Flow
Little-known fact: None of us is ever more than 7 steps away from crafting a festive snow globe-themed cocktail. Paige Russell shows us how it’s done over at Instructables.com . [Video via Instructables.com YouTube channel.]
It’s Christmas Day today!
Wishing everyone a warm, wonderful holiday!
