Step into Springtime Seven Different Ways With These Fun Cocktails

It’s Springtime, and the drinkin’ is fruity. And herbal. And spicy. And a host of other things you’ll be happy to have in your glass. Brighten up your next balmy, sun-splashed afternoon with one (or more) of these cocktails crafted with the warming temperature in mind.


Frangelico FruttaFrangelico Frutta Stylized

  • 1 ½ parts Frangelico
  • 1 part SKYY Vodka
  • ½ part lime juice
  • 3 parts soda water
  • 3 strawberries
  • 6 mint leaves

Method: Muddle strawberries, mint and lime juice in a shaking glass. Add Frangelico and vodka. Shake vigorously. Add soda water to contents and pour over ice into a tall glass. Garnish with mint.


Wild TikiWild Tiki

  • 0.5 oz. Frangelico
  • 1 oz. Appleton Rum
  • 0.75 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 oz. Wild Turkey Rye
  • 0.5 oz. Orgeat (Almond Syrup)
  • 0.25 oz. East India Solera Sherry
  • 1 Tsp. Cinnamon Syrup
  • 3 Dashes of Angostura Bitters

Method: Combine all ingredients and whip shake with 3 ice cubes. Pour into glass over crushed ice. Top with more crushed ice and garnish with a lemon wheel, mint, bitters and paper umbrella.


Wolfenbuttel SpritzWolfenbuttel Spritz

  • 1 oz Jägermeister
  • 1 oz amaro cio ciaro
  • 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 dash quality orange bitters
  • 1 pinch of salt

Method: Build in an absinthe-rinsed white wine glass, fill with cracked cubes, and top with approx. 3 oz quality soda water.  Garnish with a lavish grapefruit peel

  • 1.5 oz Cutty Sark
  • 0.5 oz east India Sherry
  • 0.5 oz cinnamon syrup
  • 1 dash angostura bitters
  • 0.5 oz lime
  • 1 pineapple
  • 1 coconut cream mix (1:1 coconut milk and coco Lopez)

Method: Whip shake with 3 cubes, strain over crushed ice in a Pilsner glass, garnish with pineapple leaves and an orchid.


PomaritaPomarita

  • 1½ oz Patrón Silver
  • ¾ oz Patrón Citrónge Orange
  • ¾ oz Fresh squeezed lime juice
  • ½ oz Pomegranate juice
  • Bar spoon simple syrup
  • Lime wheel
  • Tablespoon pomegranate seeds (optional)

Method: Combine liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously with ice to chill. Strain onto fresh ice in a Collins glass and garnish with a lime wheel and spoonful of pomegranate seeds (optional)


Aperol Spritz

  • 3 Parts Cinzano Prosecco
  • 2 Parts Aperol
  • 1 Splash of Soda

Method: Serve over ice in a wine glass. Add a slice of orange, pour in the Prosecco, the Aperol and a splash of soda.


The Resting Garden Margarita

  • 1.75 oz Patrón Reposado
  • 0.5 oz Patrón Citrónge Mango
  • 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 0.75 oz Agave Syrup
  • 6 Sage Leaves, (2 for garnish)
  • Pinch of Salt

Method: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice to chill. Holding a fine mesh strainer in one hand, “double strain” the drink by pouring the drink through it into an ice-filled old fashioned glass. Garnish with two sage leaves and a grilled mango slice.
