Your Illustrated Guide to Enjoying Hard-to-Eat Foods

We kind of want to be friends with the folks at Ship It Appliances. They seem to get it (“it” being life and living) in a way that made us laugh out loud when they shared the graphic below with us. The UK-based enterprise has crafted a series of illustrated style points outlining the proper way to approach some of the more difficult-to-eat foods that we all love.

This would be smileworthy on its own, but what made it an absolute must-share is that the illustration style clears takes some inspiration from the pictorial assembly instructions popularized by Scandinavian furniture-and-housewares chain IKEA. Until one has boned and sectioned an entire fish according to directions delivered by a happy cartoon gentleman with no discernible separation borders between his clothes and his skin, has one truly eaten fish the way nature intended?

There was a time when we would have said yes. Now, we’re not so sure. What we do know is that we love this guide.
