Holiday Cocktail Recipe Series: Day 10 of 12 – Gluehwein

Who doesn’t love having a belly filled with something sweet and warm on a frigid Winter night? Since frost giants don’t actually exist, the answer is a crisp and resounding “no one”. That’s one reason among many that we trust this recipe will find quick and ever-increasing appreciation among those of you who fancy warmed wine-based libations. Pour a steaming cup for yourself and ones for your guests, and don’t be surprised if a spontaneous caroling singalong breaks out after a few sips. It’s almost a requirement with this brew being passed around.

Today’s cocktail:

Gluehwein

  • 3 oz Red Wine
  • 1 oz The Bitter Truth – Apricot Liqueur
  • 5 dashes The Bitter Truth – Chocolate Bitters
  • 5 dashes The Bitter Truth – Jerry Thomas Bitters
Heat up ingredients in a pot and pour into a tea glass or cup.
