Warm Up to This Boozy Beverage on National Hot Toddy Day

January 11th, 2017 is National Hot Toddy Day, and if the past several days of stingingly, breathtakingly, damn near malevolently cold weather is any indication, this holiday won’t arrive a moment too soon. One way to make tomorrow a hot one would be to stir up a round or three of your own to share with friends or chilled travelers passing through. This recipe in particular shall evermore be near and dear to my heart for using Basil Hayden’s Bourbon for the good of all mankind. Salud!

Hot Toddy

  • 1 oz. Basil Hayden’s Bourbon
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup boiling water

Combine bourbon, honey and lemon juice in a 6-oz mug. Top off with hot water and stir until honey is dissolved.
