Beer Reigns as America’s Most Popular Alcoholic Beverage

To conduct the NationalToday.com Beer Day Survey, the researchers at National Today—America’s favorite online destination to commemorate quirky and fun holidays—asked 1,100 Americans ages 21+ about their feelings on everyone’s favorite hoppy holiday.

  • ALMOST HALF OF AMERICANS ARE BEER DRINKERS

45% of Americans report drinking beer. 1 in 3 Americans prefer imported beer, while the majority (67%) usually opt for domestic.

  • 17% OF AMERICANS DRINK AT LEAST 1 BEER PER DAY

1 in 3 Americans will indulge in a bottle of beer a week, while 34% will drink 2-4 bottles per week. But 1 in 4 Americans like to cut loose: 18% drink 5-9 bottles a week, while another 8% drink 10-15.
