This Beer is Brewed Using Fried Chicken, Because That’s a Thing You Can Do

There’s nothing like the pairing of hot, crispy fried chicken and a cold beer to infuse life with some amazing flavor. The two have been through a lot together, and just when one might think the relationship between this particular poultry and potable couldn’t grow any closer, it finds a way to do so.

Collaboration between Virginia-based The Veil Brewing Co. and Danish beer enterprise Evil Twin Brewing has spawned a beer that’s brewed with, in addition to more traditional ingredients, the juicy goodness of fried chicken as only two entire trays of Chick-fil-A tenders can deliver it. Before you get too excited, though, know that the bird contributes to less than 0.4% of the mash, meaning there’s more to taste in this beer of citrus and hops than herbs and spices. Still, that’s 0.4% more chicken than just about any other beer can claim.

The resulting Double IPA brew, christened, Fried Fried Chicken Chicken, clocks in at an 8% abv, and is available as a limited-edition just north of 200 cases, sold in 16-ounce cans.
