Product Review: Clearly Kombucha

A product whose merits tend to deviate from the established range of experiences, from offering up the same old thing made the same old way, we tend to call an “acquired taste.” I won’t do so where Clearly Kombucha is concerned. It strikes me more as the kind of product that tasters will either find immediately pleasing or immediately unpalatable. I doubt many people tasting it for the first time will find themselves swayed from whatever prejudices they already hold toward kombucha in general, be those prejudices pro or con.

Product Review: Authentic Chinese Tea Samples from Teavivre.com

Opportunity recently knocked on our kitchen door in the form of an invitation to review a selection of authentic Chinese teas from Teavivre.com. I received samples of six teas from the generous proprietors of this website specializing in teas and teawares for every occasion. Here I offer my thoughts on each tea sampled (in the order that I tasted them) with attention given to how much of each tea was brewed in 8 oz. of hot water, and whether I enjoyed them best with or without added sweeteners and/or milk.
